FRIENDLY FACES

Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery Specialists employs a dedicated and courteous office staff. These members of our practice work to schedule office appointments, obtain authorization for surgery from insurance companies, and schedule patient surgeries among many other jobs which keep our office running smoothly. They deserve much appreciation and thanks for their excellent performance.

Leann Leann:

Leann states, "It's an honor and a privilege to work with physicians who have the highest of standards, together with a dedicated and caring office staff." Leann began working for Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery Specialists in 1999 with surgery scheduling, insurance authorization, and other office tasks. Leann assumed the role of office manager a little over three years ago. We continue to be successful with her enthusiasm and guidance; her dedication and leadership are definitely appreciated.

In her free time Leann likes to cook and bake, walk her dogs, work out, and spend time with her friends and family.

Wendy:

Wendy has been employed for over 8 years. She used to work primarily in our Mequon office, but is currently studying nursing and now helps part-time in our Wauwatosa office. Wendy continues to transcribe all of Dr. Sterkin’s dictations. Wendy enjoys working at our main office in Wauwatosa because, "the other women are fun to work with."

When not working or studying, Wendy enjoys reading, water skiing, downhill skiing, camping, and hanging out with her husband and two children.

Karen Karen:

Karen joined the CPSS team in January 2006. Karen is the newest addition to our CPSS team. She is an aesthetician who also works part-time as a receptionist at our Mequon office. She previously worked as a laser technician performing hair removal and FotoFacial, and prior to that spent ten years as business manager and corporate secretary for a local medical device manufacturer.

Karen is happily married and enjoys camping, fishing, golfing, and spending time outdoors with her husband. Her other interests include shopping, lunching with friends, gardening, knitting/crocheting, and raising her two Shih Tzu.

Shelley Shelley:

Shelley has been employed with the Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery Specialists business office since February 2004. She previously worked in a Pediatric business office for 18 years, so the move to plastic surgery was a great one. When asked to comment on her experience here, Shelley stated, “I have found this specialty to be very interesting. I had no idea of the range of procedures plastic surgeons perform; from cosmetic enhancements to burn patient reconstruction. The staff of Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery Specialists is very experienced and committed to each patient. We work together as a team.”

In her free time, Shelley enjoys spending time outdoors with her two daughters, kayaking, hiking, and relaxing in the north woods.

Deedee Deedee:

With over 20 years experience in the medical field, starting out with reception work and medical records, moving onto occupational therapy and geriatric rehab, and now medical aesthetics, Deedee happily joins our office. She has been a licensed clinical aesthetician for 8 years. With experience in plastic surgery and dermatology Deedee continues to expand her knowledge in procedures such as chemical exfoliation, Microdermabrasion, laser hair removal, intense pulsed light (IPL) photorejuvenation / FotoFacials™, skin tightening, and Fraxel laser resurfacing.

Deedee’s philosophy is simple: No matter what you wear, people still see your face -- so it is important to do what you can to keep your skin in its’ best shape. The main objectives for each consultation include educating clients to use proper sun protection and adequate anti-oxidants, and learning to love the skin you’re in. Deedee provides pre-operative and post-operative facial rejuvenation consultation, which enhances and prolongs cosmetic surgery results. Deedee works at the Wauwatosa office to help us provide the highest quality cosmetic surgery service.

During her off time, Deedee is busy with her family, spoiling her nieces and nephews, dogs, NASCAR, amateur gardening, and listening to the music of local bands at area festivals.

Leslie Leslie:

Leslie has been with Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery Specialists for 3 year and brings with her years of experience from her previous employer. Prior to joining us, Leslie worked as the office manager for Dr. David Dunn, a pediatric neurosurgeon, until his retirement. Leslie assists with all types of office work, including surgery scheduling, insurance authorization, and transcription.

Leslie enjoys traveling, gardening, and the theater when not at work.

Maggie:

Maggie is the newest addition to the Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery Specialists team. She is our full-time receptionist at the Wauwatosa office. Maggie previously worked as a laser technician for a hair removal and photorejuvenation company. “I have found a relaxed atmosphere with excellent doctors, and even better patients,” she says. In her free time, Maggie enjoys rehabbing her house with her husband. Otherwise you might find her at one of Milwaukee’s great summer festivals, or spending quality time with friends and family.

Angela:

Angela has recently joined our practice as well. She has experience in medical billing, human resources, payroll, and most recently as an aesthetician for a few years before joining Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery Specialists. Angela has known Dr. Bock for more than 20 years, since she was a patient of his. “I was thrilled when I had the opportunity to join the staff here, and consider it an honor to work for such amazingly talented doctors,” Angela said. In her free time, Angela enjoys riding on her husband’s Harley and spending time with her family, including the dogs.

Marlene:

Marlene has worked over 23 years for Dr. Bock. Marlene joined the practice shortly after Dr. Bock performed reconstructive surgery on her young daughter. Marlene states that she had "come to admire the man and his work," so much that she decided to work for him. She started on a part time basis as a receptionist, then moved on to full time secretary, and later to office manager. She now is responsible for finance and payroll.

Marlene says, "I really enjoyed the work when the practice was smaller and we were able to give all our patients individual attention. With the increased paperwork required by the insurance companies this has become much more difficult. I find that sad. We have enlarged our staff to address this problem, with good success, and our patients seem to find one of us with whom they can bond." She adds, "I am proud and sometimes in awe of the work our doctors do, and am confident to recommend them with high praise."

In her time off, Marlene enjoys being with her grandchildren, traveling, reading and gardening.
